Hi. I'm Melissa. I have and am currently raising four playful, smart, creative and kind school-age kids.
This September during the 2017-2018 school year, I will open my home to teach preschool for children ages 3-5 year old, twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

My focus will be on helping children with their social, educational and behavioral needs. With an emphasis on learning through play.
I will encourage a desire for learning through creative crafts, music, cooking, and interacting with others and having fun. We will learn how our bodies work, the solar system, our earth, geography and more.
The style of schooling is a mix of instruction and routine, but with some spontaneity in the schedule, new toys, puzzles, games and outside play.
I know that children wiggle and can't sit still. This will be a time for them to learn classroom etiquette and following the teacher. Keeping hands to themselves, listening, quietly with practice but plenty of time to wiggle, move, dance and play.
I believe that Albert Einstein said it best: Play is the highest form of research.
